- Calling all wizards and witches to bring your magic and imagination, we are in for a magical ride. Patrols will be asked to decorate your "house", come up with your spells, and signature mark or costume. Compete to see which "house" is the most spellbound.
- Bring your culinary talents to the "iron chef" style cooking contest. Each patrol will be challenged to come up with a dish from scratch.
- If you don't think yummy s'mores over popping fire pure magic, I don't know what is!
- Big games will be fun and friendly for all ages. Teamwork always turns challenges into magic!
- Performance night is the opportunity for patrols to cast your spells and make some magic happen. We want all members to be involved and make it fun and creative with your skit, singing, or dancing.
- Hang out with your friends and explore the Twin Canyon camp and the beautiful surroundings.

Dear Truongs, parents, and scouts -
This past holiday weekend, our LD had another great scout-led camp. I’d like to share some of the unforgettable experience and shout outs to the participants and contributors who made this camp a success.
Camp “Magic of Scouting” really brought out the creativity and crafty talents from the scouts. They were able to put together fantastic costumes for the wizards of the houses. Everything from the decorations, patrol activities, big games, performance, campfire circle, etc. all went really well. I could see how the patrol members really bonded just within a couple of days. Teamwork was truly the magic at this camp.
I would like to express our deep gratitude to all Truongs, parents, and scouts who worked so hard to make the camp experience so memorable for all of us. All the set up and take down, transportation, cooking, serving food, and cleaning demanded a lot of good planning and a lot of labor work. Many adults also helped with safety patrol, judging, photography, or supervising scout activities. Thank you ALL so so much!
A special shout-out to the scouts on the camp committee: camp chief Dyllan, assistant chief Khang, Caitlyn, Angela, Daniel, Harry, Sunny, Eliza, & Justin for leading this camp with such determination and enthusiasm. They put in a lot of time and effort to plan an exciting camp program so that all scouts could enjoy and put forth their best. Every activity went as planned. Kudos to this amazing camp committee!
Here’s one of the photo albums. Please add more photos if you took some.
We would like to gather feedback from each unit so we can see how we can improve at the next camp. Speaking of the next camp, we will soon start planning for the Labor Day camp when LDTG will celebrate our 19th anniversary. Stay tuned for more information.
Thank you, all, once again. We couldn’t have had done it without everyone’s participation.
Yours in Scouting,
Tr Nhan La
On behalf of BDH LDTG
