A message from BDH:

2025 Camp Elemental – A Weekend to Remember!

Our theme this year — The Five Elements, inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender — beautifully reflected the spirit of camping, nature, and even Vietnamese culture. Throughout the weekend, we saw each element shine in its own way, and when combined, they created something magical. Camp wouldn’t have been the same without each and every one of you.

Earth – Our Foundation

A huge thank you to all our Troop and Unit Leaders. You are the solid ground we stand on — the ones who laid the groundwork, coordinated logistics, and made sure everything was ready to go. Your dedication and leadership gave us the strong base we needed to build an incredible camp experience.

Fire – Our Fuel

To all the parents who cooked and kept us fed — THANK YOU! Your meals were delicious, comforting, and kept our energy blazing all weekend long. You are the warmth that brought everyone together around the campfire, both literally and figuratively.

Metal – Our Strength and Structure

Thank you to everyone who provided tools, equipment, and unwavering support. You brought the structure to Camp Elemental, and your strength held everything together. We truly couldn’t have done it without your dependable presence.

Water – Our Flow

From keeping us hydrated to creating those refreshing water-based treats, water was the quiet hero of the weekend. It reminded us to go with the flow, adapt, and support one another — and that’s exactly what this community did, with grace and ease.

Air – Our Spirit

To the scouts — you brought the magic! Your energy, creativity, and teamwork made this camp come alive. Whether it was organizing the big game or performing skits that had us all laughing, you captured the heart of Camp Elemental and truly made the theme soar.

Scout Spirit in Action

This weekend also reminded us that even when things don’t go as planned, teamwork and Scout spirit always prevail. Due to strong winds and some unexpected technical issues, our flagpole was damaged and the camp gate was broken in half. But rather than letting it dampen the mood, everyone pulled together, improvised, and made things work. It was a beautiful example of resilience, resourcefulness, and unity — a true reflection of the Scouting way.

Just like in Avatar, each element is powerful on its own, but unstoppable when united. Thank you all for coming together, complementing each other, and creating an experience full of joy, connection, and adventure.

A message from the Camp Chief

2025 Camp Elemental Thank You Letter

Hello all Scouts, Truongs, and Parents

On behalf of the camp committee, I would like to thank everyone for attending the 2025 Camp Elemental on Memorial Day weekend.

Planning this camp was a lot of work, and required a lot of help from everyone who came. So, I would also like to give appreciation to all the people who chipped in to provide such a great camping experience for all of us. These are the people who worked in the kitchen, brought materials for activities such as the cooking contest and big games, and especially the truongs for giving the camp committee guidance throughout the planning process.

I would like to give Tr. Linh special recognition for being our main advisor and sitting with us at meetings. Among other things, his support in helping the camp committee to organize and delegate tasks to parents, was a tremendous help to us. Thank you Tr. Linh!

We as the camp committee are very glad to have had this opportunity to lead this camp, and that people enjoyed the experience. I am looking forward to what the next camps have in store!

Best,
Jason N.
