Sisters in Scouting: A Day of Connection
On Sunday, April 26, TNHG gathered for a beautiful offsite bonding day hosted at the warm and welcoming home of Tr. Thủy and Tr. Kiệt. From 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, the group shared more than just a delicious meal; they shared laughter, stories, and the kind of sisterhood bonding that strengthens our foundation. Through a variety of engaging group activities, the girls deepened their connections and leaving with a renewed spirit of unity.
Truong's Commentary:
Tr. Maggie: "I see eating, eating, and eating"
Tr. Thuy: "Our day began early at 9:30 AM, as four dedicated sixth-grade Cadettes arrived to put the finishing touches on their Tree Badge reflection reports. Once the full group gathered, our patrols put leadership into action: Patrols 2 and 4 (our older scouts) took charge of the kitchen, thoughtfully preparing a delicious lunch with side dishes and drinks. Simultaneously, Patrol 1 showed their creative side by leading a heartfelt Mother’s Day gift-making station and hosting arts and crafts for the younger girls. The afternoon transitioned into a focused planning session, where the Silver Award team met with Tr. Terry, Tr. Nhan, and Tr. Kim to discuss the next steps in their community project."
Tr. Kim: "One of the most meaningful and proud moments was watching our older girls step into leadership by planning, preparing, and serving meals to the younger scouts. From organizing ingredients to cooking and presenting the food, they handled each step with care and confidence. What stood out most was seeing them apply what they’ve learned over time, both from their leaders and from observing their parents during past camps. Their teamwork, responsibility, and thoughtfulness truly shined through."
Tr. Terry: "I concur ... I felt pretty useless just standing there most of the time. Jobless/useless leader!"
Tr. Nhan: "Love it!"
